First day of the attachment programme at Nanyang Technological University School of Materials Science and Engineering has been mind-blowing. Let us begin by introducing ourselves; we are from the defense material department, codename DefMat, mentored by Jason Cheah.
With the assistance of Dr Liu, our group has gained new and valuable insights in the field of syntactic foam. By introducing microns, we can alter the mechanic properties of the syntactic foam to not only make it lighter but also stronger as well; we can even grant it electrical conductivity properties.



We tried to create our syntactic foam with guidance from our friend Daniel J
